Why is my Temu promo code not working?
Temu may reject a code because it has expired, was used before, was not officially issued by Temu, or does not meet its conditions. Check the coupon in Coupons & Offers for restrictions based on account, country, product category, local warehouse status, minimum spend, or participation in another activity. Make sure you are signed in to the account that received the coupon and that your region is set to New Zealand.
The error message can identify the restriction:
- only usable for new users within 24 hours of downloading Temu means the offer requires a newly eligible app user within that window.
- This activity has expired or activity expired means your account no longer has access to the activity.
- oops, this activity has ended or oops, this campaign has ended means the activity is closed for your current attempt.
A coupon used on an order is not returned if that order later receives a partial refund.
Should I use a Temu code at checkout or in the app search bar?
Follow the offer instructions because Temu uses two routes. Standard promo codes go in the code field before payment, while some activity or coupon bundle codes must be entered in the main app search bar.
If searching opens a reward page, complete the steps on that page. Searching a code will not replace applying it at checkout when the offer specifically requires checkout entry.
What can I combine with a Temu coupon?
Use one coupon per order. Temu may also block a coupon while you are participating in an activity that prohibits additional coupons.
You can combine Temu Credit with a coupon. Temu normally applies available credit automatically at checkout, and you can adjust the amount before paying.
For example, if eligible items cost $40, you apply a $5 coupon and use $10 of Temu Credit, you pay $25. Shipping or other charges that the coupon does not cover may remain.
Can I use a Temu coupon on already reduced items?
Sometimes, if the coupon terms allow it. Temu can exclude particular categories, local warehouse items, or products covered by another promotional activity.
If an excluded item prevents you from reaching the coupon threshold, remove it or choose another eligible product.
Why is my Temu coupon saving different in my cart and at checkout?
Temu may already include the coupon in product prices shown while you browse, so the same discount is not applied again to every item you add.
Temu can also divide one coupon proportionally between associated orders and items. In Temu's example, a $10 coupon covering orders worth $80 and $20 gives the first order $8 and the second $2. If the $80 order contains a $70 item and a $10 item, Temu allocates $7 to the $70 item, making its final price $63.
Most coupons do not reduce shipping fees or taxes. Removing an item can also change the coupon allocation or leave the order below its spending threshold.
Can existing Temu users use promo codes?
Yes, existing users can use coupons and activities that Temu makes available to their accounts. However, some welcome offers are marked New App Users Only.
If an offer is limited to new users within a stated period, an older account cannot use it. Check Coupons & Offers and the app's current promotional activities for offers available to your account.

Can I reactivate an expired Temu coupon?
Possibly. Open Temu customer service chat and type reissue coupon, expired coupon, or reactivate coupon. Temu may display expired coupons and let you select one or request a bulk reissue, but this option is not available for every account or coupon.
Pro tip: Select the coupon you plan to use instead of requesting a bulk reissue, so you do not renew other coupons before you are ready to order.
